Fun visit.


Last weekend Dave and Patti came to visit. Dave is my dad, making Patti my step-mom. I met them both for the first time last summer. 
                        
We went out to dinner at The Blind Pig in Scottsdale. Delicious food. We chatted and caught each other up on our busy lives. It honestly felt like we've known each other forever. It was never awkward or uncomfortable. 

                        

The next day we took them on a mini tour of Arizona. We showed them our house, my classroom, the new Gilbert temple, ate at Joes Farm Grill and showed them the desert and Saguaro lake. It was a beautiful day and it was nice to spend the day together. 

                       

On their last night there we went to the Suns game. Patti's nephew works as an intern for the suns so we were able to get free seats. It was a great game, even if we did lose. 
                       
All in all it was a great weekend with them. I'm glad we got to spend time together and am looking forward to getting to know them more.
