Moving.

Buying a house has seriously been the most complicated thing ever.
House Hunters does not prepare you for that. They make it seem so easy.

We were supposed to close on Monday. Looks like now it's going to be more like Wednesday or even Thursday. Eeeek. The good news is that our apartment is the size of my shoe so there's no doubt in my mind that we can in fact move in a day. The bad news is that we have to paint the house and clean the carpets before we move. That just complicates everything. We might have to just skip those steps and paint while our stuff is just stacked in the middle of the room and then clean the carpets around the furniture.

Picking out new furniture and household items has been stressful but fun. It has taught us how to compromise.

Brian and I are so excited to be in our home, with our dog. She will move in with us next week. And no worries- there will be tons of pictures. So pray that I will not loose my mind and that moving will go smoothly.

  3. AH! Congratulations! Buying a house is the single most nerve-wracking thing I've ever done (other than deal with my ovaries). It's almost over, and it's all down hill from here. Looking forward to some pictures once you're there!

  4. Closing always -- ALWAYS -- is more complicated than you would think. Ours was postponed, too, and I freaked out -- but it all worked out in the end. Can't wait to see pics of your new place!

  5. Congrats on closing on your house! We've just recently signed papers on a place ourselves, but it is being built and we won't be moving for another year. Good luck with cleaning and moving!

I love comments. But only if they're kind. If you have nothing nice to say, please don't say anything at all.
